Need help: problem with deleting some apps on my E61

After a beta testing episode with some of the software I'm testing, I've recently completely reset my device and reinstalled everything from scratch. I even deleted everything but document folders from my storage card.

After doing all of this and reinstalling everything, it's all working fine, except for two niggling things: To save RAM, I had previously installed all of my themes to my storage card. Now that I'm installing everything into RAM, the themes I had installed onto the card are showing up in the Themes listing, creating duplicates.

I have gone into App Manager but they don't show up there, and there is no way for me to delete them directly from the Themes applet, even though I thought there should have been some way.

The other problem is that whenever I install some apps, like QuickOffice Premier, they seem to install just fine, but whenever I go into the App Manager, they show up as "not installed", even though they're clearly there and seem to work fine. Even after I delete the app that says "not installed", the app still works fine, but is not listed as an installed app. 😮

Are these bugs I've uncovered? Is there any way to resolve these things?

Has anyone run into this before? :con?

As usual, any help is certainly appreciated! 😊

I had a similar problem once. Here's what you can do.If you connect your phone to the PC;put it into 'Mass Storage mode',If you can't ;then use a memory card reader-put your storage card in it and view it on your PC.
Ensure that on your windows explorer on your PC;that the view option 'show hidden files and folders' is enabled-
For your themes, before then you can check using the App.Mangr. to see the (actual) name of the theme you want to remove.
In the windows explorer view ,open the 'private folder' of your storage card, from this open the folder marked '10207114' ,open the 'import' folder;from this you should see a list of folder with alphanumeric names.
Open each folder;the one that contains the name of the theme you want to remove;delete everything in that folder..
Put your phone back on,and check the App.Mangr. for any changes.
That should work for the themes,.
Let me check my phone folder for that of applications(its been a while i had that problem of applications last;so i have to be sure of the folder)

An alternative is to install FExplorer on your phone.. so u can see everything is in your phone memory (ram and card) and delete what u want..

On the E61 or any other Symbian 9 based device, there is no file manager (FExplorer, or others) that can "see everything" and let you "delete what u want". This is prevented by Symbian 9 Platform Security, datacaging features from unprivileged programs (and file managers do not get the required privilege).
