WLAN usable via WLAN Wizard for Web, but not other apps?

I'm noticing this problem primarily at work...
I can fire up the WLAN Wizard, and it will find my work network (which is known and I've entered the security details for) and I can choose to browse the web with that network and it works great.

However, if I run any other app it tells me no WLAN is available (even if I have a currently active web session with that WLAN network?!?). I've defined an access point for the network, so it should show up, but it never shows up in the access point list.

Is this a known issue with wlan and s60? Is it just me or are others having this issue?

I have not faced this issue with WiFi. Have you created an access point for it from Settings > Connections?

yeah, I have this issue sometimes... in fact, just now.

Couldnt send a mail because it said there was no WLAN but I was online anyway :@

Came back next mail and worked fine.
