S60 software won't install on an S60

I have a dumb question (apologies in advance).

I have a 7650 and a SIS file, which says it is for an S60 device.

However, when I try and install the software it fails, with the error message 'InstallSeries60ProductID first', which is kind of strange as it is an S60?

Can anyone shed any light on this for me?

It is a .sis file intended for a newer version of S60 and does not work with the version that the 7650 is based on (S60 v0.9).

Use .sis files for S60/Series 60 0.9 or 1.2 (S60 1st Edition) with the 7650. All will still not work (mainly because of the very limited amount of memory on the 7650).

The SIS file was originally created for use on the Nokia 6600 (Series 60). Are you saying that it is not possible to get it working correctly on my 7650?

7650 and 6600 are both S60 devices, but with different version. Not all software are compatible between them.
