N95 Software

I'd really appreciate an idea of the useful 3rd party software available for the N95. Of course one can google for it, but the majority then seems to be themes and ringtones - neither of which do I find useful.

I'm looking for sw that improves the functionality of the device; Any particular recommendations?

There's a lot available!

You might want to start by looking at this list: http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/software/Nokia_N93/

Not all of the software there is all that great. If you want to narrow things down a bit then choose the Editor's Pick Filter which will give a shorter list (http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/software/Nokia_N93/?f=fe).

It depends what sort of software you are looking for to be honest... Is there anything particular you are looking for?

Also have a look through the review section - anything that is listed as S60 3rd Edition should work fine on the N95 (http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/reviews/S60_3rd_Edition/)

BTW - the software directory on the site here isn't as good as it should be. I'm looking (and have been for a while) at ways of improving it.

Exasperation due to countless people asking the same question. 😊

Sadly, not always true. I've discovered that mobipocket reader doesn't work. 😞

Mobipocket reader (v5.2 build 550) works fine here, although the installer does claim it isn't compatible when installed.

Yes I should have said you can usually ignore most incompatibility messages. You should make sure you have the latest version etc etc.

And yes some will fail, but I've not come across any yet (touch wood)!

I'm sorry to have exasperated you, chrsfrwll, with a regularly asked question.

It might be a good idea to have the topic posted as a sticky, in that case!
