Updating S60 v2 to v3?

Hi there,

Is it possible to update my N70 S60 v2 firmware to v3 firmware via the Nokia Software Updater? , currently the firmware is dated 2005

No.
It's a different O/S.
It's like wanting to "upgrade" Windows XP to Windows Vista - you can't, you need a fresh installation.

I think you meant firmware version 3, maybe? The latest is 5.0638.3.0.1 from 18.09.2006 and yes, it is possible. Just enter your product code on Nokia's software updater website and you'll see instantly which is the last FW version.
