Formatting Internal Memory/Disk

Hello All

Just got a P990i with o2 and I think its great. It has all the updates up until now (although, there would appear to be a new Firmware update on the Horizon).

My question is this: Is formatting the internal memory/disk pretty much the same as a master reset?

Thanks :icon2:

Nope, it's not. Internal disk format whipes the phone completely, hence is more "aggressive". The master reset just reset settings + deletes user data.
If you have a serious problem (like kernec exec errors etc..) an internal format might (!) correct but master reset probably will not.

Pls can you say how to format a p990i. I can formate sybian s60. But this is s90 QIU. Same code is not working

from main menu: * jogdial up * jogdial down jogdial down * jogdial down * will bring up Service Menu, select "Format internal disk".
