keen

The symbian OS (now very popular on mobile phones) started its ascent from the humble beginnings of a PDA OS (EPOC). The big three (Nokia, Ericcson and Motorola) formed the Symbian consortium to tailor EPOC for mobile phones for their use and license. That is how symbian has evolved. I am sure there are symbian PDAs available now too.

Please note, the above is from faint recollections after 48 hours with 3 hours sleep 😊 so if I am wrong in any detail please feel free to correct me.

SymbianOS is a phoneOS, so altho it can be run on PDAs, the strategy is to keep it a phoneOS. So you won't see a PDA running SymbianOS anytime soon ... unless Nokia suddenly decides to go into PDA market 😊
