3250 problem

hi,people!
i have just got my 3250 and thats my first smart phone and i dont know anything about them, anyway i got big problem, my sms texts are sending realy long(about 1 min)which is realy annoying so i need help!

should i just throw it in bin or there is solution for that?????

firstly congrats on getting a superb set
pal try soft reset by typing *#7370# on ur phones standby screen remember the default code for nokia is 12345 if this doesnt work try a hard reset power off the set and power it on by pressing * button+green Button+num pad 3 button

i guess thats restoring the phone???
will i lose my contacts and photos and things?
just to prepare myself.
