Nokia releases iSync plug-ins

Nokia have released iSync plug-ins for a number of their recent phones including the Nokia N95, Nokia E65, and Nokia N76. The release of these plug-ins mean all currently available S60 phones will sync with a computer running Mac OS X.

Read on in the full article.

The question E70-2 owners (in North America) must have at this point is:

Given that these plugins are available from europe.nokia.com and not from nokiausa.com, what is the likelihood that the E70-2 phone (a US model) is supported with the plugin?

(Most E70 iSync plugins I've run across were (1) created in Europe and (2) do not support the E70-2. The existence of a separate version of the phone often doesn't occur to the plugin writers. The only such plugin I'm aware of that does recognize the E70-2 is available at www.s60themes.co.uk.)

Then again, this new plugin is made by Nokia.

Or Nokia Europe.

<sigh>

The 3250 is conspiciuous by it's absence from the list of supported phones. It's strange because there are lots of S60 2nd phones listed (the 3250 is S60 3rd), so it's not just newer phones.

Any idea why not 3250?

Max.

Since I synchronized my N80ie with Isync with new plug-in, some of my voice tags became unusable. If I try to voice dial one of these number, the voice dialer does not answer and become stuck. Need to wait several minutes before I can use again the voice dialer. Tried soft and hard reset with no success and never encountred this problem with third party plugin before this update became default for Isync.

Does someone else encountred similar glitch?

Thx
