first post here guys and wondered if you can help.
when i try to play back video clips that either i have recorded with my n95 or samples that have been taken and put on this site the clip seems to play for a few frames and then stops and then starts again.
i have tried using quicktime, realplayer and videolan and they all act the same way
can anyone help?

They don't seem to run very well on my PC either, they play for a couple of seconds as they should then go really slow. On my machine at least I suspect it may be hardware, then again it could be out of date codecs. Do they play ok when played at 50%?
Not sure what you mean by 50%?
i havent enlarged the screen or anything and i dont have any other applications playing or anything.
on my k800i when i converted video files to play on the phone i had the same sort of thing like the phone could not cope. as if i had the wrong bit rate/frame rate.
its odd because they play perfect on the phone
