as the title says
when i try to play clips that i have recorded on my phone and then transfer them to my computer they dont play right.
I have used real player, quicktime and videolan and none of them work right. it keeps stuttering. It seems to play a few frams and then freezes and then starts again and then freezes again.
anyone any ideas why this is.
the clips play perfect on the phone
Do they play with the "View Multimedia" player in PC Suite? Latest PC Suite on http://www.nokia.com/pcsuite
Also, it might be good if you mentioned versions and formats; which PC player versions you tried and which video recording format you used (the phone can record video in a few different resolutions and formats).
Did you try the videos in Steve's camcorder review on your PC?

it was video clips that i had recorded with the phone and as i said i had tried videolan, real player and quicktime.
i have now found that its a codec problem with those players as i have downloaded DIVIX PLAYER and they work perfect on there.

Good that you found a solution that works for you. Still, I'd like to restate that that the phone can record videos in a few different resolutions and formats, and you did not say which format you used (whatever is the default, probably). You also did list names of some PC apps you tried, but did not state which versions. But it doesn't matter now, if you've got a solution that works for you.
sorry i wasent being funnt about it, still cant understand why realplayer etc wouldnt play it though as they normally download any codecs they need.
didnt realise that the phone could record in different resolutions, how do i check this? have to say i have been dissapointed in some of the video clips i have recorded. my sony digital camera records better mpeg-4 clips.
maybe i have it on the lower setting?
When you have the camcorder open, hit Options and choose "Settings" from the menu and there's the "Video quality" setting that impacts format/resolution/framerate.
