Has anyone used the barcode reader?

I did try it but had to hold the phone quite away from the code, what would this be used for?

Have a read through the help text on the phone itself. I don't think it's used much here in the UK, but apparently you're meant to be able to scan a code and get contact information from it like ph numbers etc.

You'll ocassionally see these in Magazines or on website for giving quick web links.
