Hi Guys,

Just some advise!!! I had problems downloading stuff direct from WAP sites on the N73 where everything can back saying un-able to load and in the end i returned the N73. Is the N95 just the same or have these downloading issues been sorted out on this phone???

Cheers

I have to say that from your description I can't say I fully understand what your issue with the N73 really was.

Are you referring to backup/restore of content purchased from a WAP site, or something else?

Note that whether the system backup backs up applications or not on Symbian 9 based devices, is decided by the application developer, not the phone. The developer has to allow the system to back up all the installed application files.

As to other content (ringtones, videos), they're backed up (with the N73 as well as the N95), but you can always also copy/save them yourself "manually".

In this respect, the N95 is just like the N73 or any other S60 3rd Edition/Symbian 9 based phone.

If this isn't what you were asking about/for, perhaps you could elaborate?

In the past i would download Games, tones, themes etc and once they would start installing straight away and then go straight in to a folder in the menu!! On the N73 it would download and then asked to be saved somewhere and then when i would try and open it form it's saved location would then come up and say "Unable to Open".

T-Mobile told me that this was a system fault with the phone???

i've downloaded the msn client for N73 on my N95 no problems. worked first time and as it should 😊
