video playback through TV = no sound, why is that?

I have a question regarding the video playback through my TV using the supplied cable.

When i attempt o do this the picture etc seems fine (though not dvd quality!) but what really bugs me is there is little to no sound and i have to turn the tv right up to get anything. why is that?

if i just play it back through te handset the sound volume is fine.

The sound output is low level. Make sure though that you have raised the volume to max on the phone using the volume keys on the side of the phone. I then find I only need to raise the TV volume a bit more than usual.

it seems really odd that they put this facility on but you dont get the full benifit of it.

why is it set at low level? why even have auio out jacks if you cant really get the volume through the tv?

got to be something wrong somewhere.
