I just got a Nokia N95 and have downloaded the iSync plug-in from Nokia's site.
However when I try to install it on my G5, which is running OS X.4.9, all my drives show up with a red exclamation warning at the Select a Destination stage, and I get the error message:
"You cannot install the phone plug-in on this volume. Please upgrade to the latest version of iSync using Software Update".
I have iSync v2.4 (501.2) but just to double check I did run Software Update and it didn't find anything new to install. I also tried rebooting and disabling iSync, but it still refuses to install on any of my volumes.
Any ideas what I should do? Or is this plug-in for Wintel Macs only?
Did you ever find a solution to your problem? I now need to install the e90 iSync plugin and it is complaining about the same thing to me!

Yes I did! I had moved iSync to a subfolder in Applications. It needs to be directly in Applications.
It's not the only Apple app to demand this by the way. I find it frusrating because I hate the Applications folder being such a huge mess. I like tidying things into more easy folders, eg "iLife apps" "Graphics apps" "Communications apps" "General Apple apps" and so on.
But the apps don't always like it 😞
