Hi All,
Does anyone know of a utility I could download which would allow me to browse my computer wirelessly from my phone?
I don't want to mess about with that Nokia Media share or whatever it's called, I simply just want to be able to browse all of the shared folders on my computer by typing a path into my phone. Has this been invented yet?
Cheers
Nick
You can use the web browser (and a web server on your PC).
You can also look into something like SymSMB (but you'll need the 2.0 version):

Why do I need the 2.0 version as you specified - it lists N95 as compatible.
ALTHOUGH, I have to agree maybe I do need something, as I seem to get it all set up, WLAN connection working fine, I can even ping my phone from the PC, but I fail to get any shares coming up nor am I able to browse it. 😞
v1 is for seeing files on your phone from your PC (server functionality)
v2 seems to be for seeing files on your PC from your phone (adds client functionality)
SymSMB v2 is for both: client and server functionality!

What is an operation system at your computer?
SymSMB supports Windows XP, also it would work with Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 but instead of computer name you should use IP address, like 192.168.1.5
BTW. SymSMB v.2.00 in beta testing already in beta testing phase.
Do you really have to have the pc joined to a domain? It asks for a domain name.
