Can you add a Nokia N95 tip?

Steve, do you really only have about 10mb of Ram available most of the time?, even with heavy use and currently 5 days of uptime since my last reboot I have 14.7mb free (with all apps closed) usually hovers around here, and have never seen it below 13mb.

Unlike the N80, E70 etc which sucked in terms of memory management, the N95 appears to be a huge improvement.

If you use the VOIP (Sip/Internet Tel) Function, assign one of the Active Standby Shortcuts as the 'Internet Tel.' App, this makes the app work different than in the menus.

Press once to connect to your SIP provider, then the app closes automatically leaving you connected.

Press again and you are given the option to disconnect, press ok and you are disconnected with the app closing automatically.

If you're tempted to upgrade the preinstalled Quickoffice to a version that supports editing, be sure to install the downloaded upgrade to the phone memory, not an external card.

If you do install it to a card, it conflicts with the old version and neither work. You'll have to wipe the phone and restore everything.

Mind you, Quickoffice's support team will happily supply you with a .sis and unlock code for the restoration, which means you can restore it many times. Installing it straight to the phone memory prevents you from reinstalling it.

Hi, anyone tries to install Mail for Exchange 1.3 in your N95? I was able to sync contact, calendar and email but when trying to open/read the email, error message pop-up "Feature not supported". Any idea?

Hi,

I don't understand your recommendation not to use digital zoom for the video cam. The video cam records at a much lower resolution then the 5MP cam supports, so I would say that digital zoom should be the way to go without loss of quality. (up to a certain limit of course).

Could you please explain?

(Oh and it's not always easy/possible to get closer to your subject... physical barriers might block your way for instance)

Cheers,
