Well I forgot my lock code, I am in the USA and Nokia is location dependent with services I bought my phone in South Africa while I was there. How can I reset the lock code back to its default "12345"? I have tried the two codes I use to have the phone on and neither of them work.
I even just did a hard format Holding the Green/*/3 keys down and turning it on. I can see that it did reset the phone because my theme is changed now. I lost all my information and still its asking for this dumb code which was not reset.

Run the program and write down the lock code which is found by this app.
Thanks ratza but i already found that a while back. The thing is I cant run programs on the phone because it is locked and asking me for the code. Unless there is a symbian S60 emulator for the PC now that runs .sis files and can check my phones memory, it wont help.

Is it not possible to reflash the phone using PC Suite or can you not run that either?

Humm I will check and see if i can do that but i also got on contact with the person that has my sim card so they said they are going to ship it back to me. The phone does not ask for the lock code with that sim card in it. Then I am going to try ratza's program and hopefully it will work because i cant use that sim card in the states.

What worked Holding the buttons down, PC suite, unlockme.sis? What same phone N70 or another S60 phone?
I am just waiting for the SIM card to be sent back now. Hopefully it does not get lost in the mail because that is the only one besides one other that i know the phone works with out locking.

If this was legal, then maybe you would've said the name of the program. But it isn't, right? :laugh:
Did this ever get resolved? I've got an N70 in exactly the same state - forgotten power on lock code (put it away months ago and now that info is gone from this head of mine 😃 ). I need a way to get past the initial lock code so that I can get it working again.
The alternative seems to be an expensive reflash by one of the local shops! Or a trip to Nokia Service Centre (CPW) which I don't cherish the thought of.
Not yet.. I tried the software but it was not detecting my phone. In order to have the computer see it the phone ironically has to be unlocked. So I finally am having some one I knew send their sim to me. The phone will unlock because its a SIM that has been used before or I hope lol now that I did the hardware flash maybe it lost the data. At least you can go to nokia for support and re-flashing I am in the USA and nokia does not support the N70 here so I would have to post it back to the country where I bought it from.
