How to Install UK Maps on an Apple Mac

As all Mac owners are aware, it is not possible to use the Nokia Map Loader to download the maps to your phone, following the method will allow you to install the maps for England, Wales and Scotland

Before you do anything make sure you have used the maps program on your N95 once and have connected to gps ok. (if you have already done this you don't need to do it again)

then:

1. Download the N95 map file from:

DivShare File - 20001f63.zip

2. Connect your N95 to your mac using the usb cable, on the phone select mass storage mode

3. you should now have a memory card icon on your desktop

4. browse the memory card for a folder called 'Private' open the folder and look for another folder called '20001f63'

5. if there is go all the way back to the 'Private folder' then unzip the file you downloaded and copy the '20001f63' new folder to your "Private' folder, you will be asked whether you wish to overwrite the existing folder, just say yes.

6. once all the files have copied, eject your N95 from the Mac and try it out, hopefully you will now be able to access the maps, make sure that in the settings for your Maps program you set the 'Use network' option to never.

Have Fun

Work's spot on, cheers! Any idea how to get maps for other countries? Going to the US in a few weeks and need maps for Boston.
