www.semec.de 😃 :bday:
3650 is out already in Germany price 719 euro
pretty steep price considering its aimed toward teens
I really dont buy it,something is wrong with that website.
Did you see other devices that are listed there, like a Nokia 3315,3350,3610 - Non existing devices. What is wrong with those guys.
Those devices are not even anounced by Nokia.
im with ghostdog
There are quite few devices on that website that are not even mentioned on Nokias website.Very strange.
I made i mistake,my apologies to the people i mislead.
Those devices do exist, the are for Asia Pacific only.
I stiil dont get it how they could have the 3650 in stock with the delivery time of 3-5 days.Is it released in Asia Pacific?
the 3650 is not out in India as yet & believe me if a phone is released anywhere in the world, it reches here the very next day.
but one thing, y would anyone want to buy the 3650 ...period... how the hell would you type a sms with that phone... it would be very wierd....and then the price... the better thing would be to buy the P800.
would'nt it?
cheers

I like the look of the 3650, and everyone is always talking about how much bigger it is than the 7650(which isnt true) People forget that the 7650 has a slide out keypad which makes it bigger than the 3650 not to mention that the 7650 is heavier than the 3650. Many people over look those two things, And dont get me wrong, if i could use the 7650 in the us i would get that over the 3650, but since i cant i like the look and features of the 3650 so i will be getting one as soon as they come out. As for the P800 i dont like that thing at all. It would be so easy to lose that damn stylus pen thats attached to the side.
I'm with Frenchie, do you guys really think that Nokia would put ouyt a product they haven't tested? Ofc the have tested the keypad layout and since it's soon coming out here the results I guess were positive.... I mean, how hard can it be to learn a new layout for a phone... geez.
As for the P800 i dont like that thing at all. It would be so easy to lose that damn stylus pen thats attached to the side.
Thats why it comes with 3 spares, also the attachment on the side of the phone securely holds it in place.
I don't see that as a valid reason for the 3650 being better than P800 (Esp if they are the same price)
It's all down to personal choice, but your point about the 7650 being bigger I also feel is worng, one of my reasons for not liking the 3650 is the size, if you think about it, size only matters when you are carrying it about on a day to day basis, I sure as hell don't carry my 7650 around with me with the silde down, and I'm sure the same goes for everyone else.
My 7650 fits into my pocket pretty well, I can't see the 3650 doing the same.
The keyboard layout on the other hand, wouldn't be such a bit deal, as you can easily adapt after a short period of time, but it's just the way it looks to me. Not a nice sight, but I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. 😊
I agree with Jizzo 100%,especially on the p800 issue. The 3650 is not even near the p800.The price is just blown for some obious reasons, the device is not released yet.Did you see the price of the p800? 1500 euros, wow!
I think there is something strange with that site,i'd never buy from there.
By the way,i wouldn't mind having all of them p800,3650 and 7650 which i have now 😃
well on expansys.com the P800 (imported) is around 900! As for what the 3650 will be who knows. i do like the 3650, it's unqiue but i don't think the keypad will be a problem - afterall the standard mobile layout is different from calculators and no one complains about that!
i've no requirement for many of the 'advanced' PDA features of the P800 so why bother getting it - the 3650 'appears' to meet my requirements better. it'll all depend on prices and what they look like/handle when i can actually get my hands on one.
the p800 is available for approx US$900/- here in India. expensive...
& its available for approx US$780/- in dubai.
I have a feeling that by the end of this month it should be down to approx US$500/-
Well lets just wait & see.....
some of my friends yet prefer the 9210 & its camera better than the p800.
oh by the way...what do u think about teh N1 (www.neonode.com)????
Im definately buying the P800....for SURE!!

9210 and camera? Or did i misunderstood something?
Neonode is too small to be of any use and best of all,its M$! 😃
i meant the 9210 with the conrad camera that came with it.
have read a lot of reviews of the p800, now it seems that people are not happy with the clarity & brightness of the p800 as compared to the 7650 & also the memory duo issue with limited memory.
now i am confused, what to do?
hey does anyone know if i can use the conrad camera & transfer the pictures to a O2 XDA.
cause then i think i'll buy the O2 XDA & a conrad camera or the HP Jornada 928 with the conrad camera, wonder if it will work..... will try it & see.
if anyone has already tried it, let me know.
cheers

In less than 2 hours you've gone from 'I'm getting a P800' to, I don't have a clue what I want. 😃
I haven't heard such great things about the XDA, and I think the HP is a different kind of device (although they do mainly the same things)
I think you should wait until the P800 is released and have a play with it, it's the only way you'll be able to decide.
i agree, i think when spending that amount on something u need to see it in action 1st. i certainly plan on waiting b4 buying anything. i want to see the 3650 (at moment 1st choice as it meets my needs more that the p800). i'll have a look at the P800 though and i now also want to see this neonode, due out in february.
i doubt the 3650 will be out in the UK b4 the march (at the earliest!)

I never said that the 3650 was better i just stated that i dont like it as much as i do the 3650. To each his own...

😃
the 3650 is at the most just 1 cm larger than the 7650. and the 3650 is lighter so I don't think you will feel much difference in your pocket.
See the big difference between te two when the flip is open 😮
i think that's a valid point. i don't mind the size difference i just hate the feel, etc of the slide down keypad thats all.

oh plz, come on. Don't you have eyes?! Do you need a user guide to type an sms?? Don't tell me that you didn't need to get used to typing sms when you got your first phone with the normal keypad. Just use your eys, look at the keypad and after you've send a few sms' you'll see that it goes faster and faster.
When you buy a new bike do you need to learn how to ride it all over again? 😃
Anyways, I wouldnt mind the new keypad layout, however I just dont click with this phone and despite the MMC feature, which is the only thing that makes this phone sellable, I wont ever buy it!
Personal preference!
I would buy it,for my little brother,if the price is under 400 euros sim free so we can play bleutooth multiplayer games 😃

I'm just starting to memorize where tha eletters are when Smsing! I need to know wher the letters are for sending messages in class without being suspicious to the teacher, or else... TA TA TUMMMM!! 😃
Hey,if you get bored,or dislike it for some reason, you can send it to me any time.I dont have the money to buy it now anyway 😃
I just bought myself a snowboard 😃

There is nothing wrong with SEMEC. I bought two phones from them (Panasonic GD55 and Nokia 3650) and everything is OK. This is a regular german company who sells phones from allover the world to german (european) customers adding a little bonus for them.
I paid 749 EUR for my Nokia 3650 but I already have it. It is English and Pilipino but apparently it comes from HK (looking at the box).
Why are you guys so suspicious? SEMEC was even mentioned in several articles in german phone magazines.
If you have extra money to spend, SEMEC is great. But not cheap. 😞

I think that we have resolved this issue long time ago 😃
stop about the P800. I have one now for a month. English version. very stable phone. But lacks T9 input, no categories synch with outlook, no Profiles, memory stick not avail. yet. lack of apps (will come though soon). No video. bulky, battery runs down fast. display is not that good. phone management is not that userfriendly. Looks like SE is new on symbian.
I have it for sale
Don't know the 3650 yet but it may not be compareable though with P800. Overall the future propably belongs to the MS like phones.
