So it seems my phone produces more errors when using one battery over the another.

Specifically today I get a bunch of General System Error (-36)'s and often I up with a lot of those KERN closed errors that you see from time to time.

Could this be caused by the battery? and how can I tell if the battery is legitimate?

It's got a hologram sticker and numbers on the battery

on the back it has

M493B20300588
MADE IN CHINA

It looks for all intents and purposes identical to the battery that came with my phone. and I bought it from a different vendor almost a year ago.

Again is it possible that errors like these can be caused by the battery?

Cant see that the battery would casue problems like this, but you can check your battery here....

Thing is all the problems go away when I try a different battery.

the problems are more likely to go away when you change battery cause your turning the phone totally off. I dunno how a battery could cause o/s issues...

Well the things is when I see these problems I switch my phone off and on again and the problems don't see to go away if I haven't changed the battery.

do you see them if you take the 'bad' battery out and put the same one back in again?
