iGo Ultra-Slim Bluetooth Keyboard

Hi

Has anyone managed to get one of these working with the N95? iGo don't yet have a specific driver and the keyboard won't connect with the driver built into the phone.

Any workaround suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks.

Not sure if replying to your own posts is on or not! 😊

Anyway, got the iGo working with the Wireless Keyboard app in the N95, which is great. Of course, with no iGo driver none of the shortcut keys work--won't hold my breath for this!

Hi krs_biker,
I have the Stowaway Think Outside BT keyboard (which I think is the same as the iGo) and used the driver from their website which works.

The N95 version is down as "under test" but the N73 version (also S60 3.x) works fine. Available from here: http://www.thinkoutside.com/support/Drivers.asp?ManufacturerID=22&ModelID=483

I agree the built-in BT keyboard app was good, but the lack of working shortcuts (for softkeys etc) was a pain.

At least the N73 version works as a stop gap until the official N95 version is released.
Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Steve

Appreciate the link--downloaded the N73 driver and it works, so have the shortcut keys working, which is nice 😊

Thanks for your help.

P.S. Come on iGo, keep up! 😉

are any of these keyboards silent; i.e. not clicky. I tend to read the news and ebooks on the phone at night but the n95 clicks wake my wife up.

The only good thing about my SPV was that with the touchscreen it was silent. Thinking that a keyboard (a quiet one) might be the answer

Rich..

The iGo (think outside) BT keyboard clicks if you type at a reasonable speed--typing slowly does make them quieter; but if the N95's keys are too noisy I don't think this keyboard will help!
