Did anyone ever encounter this - when for no obvious reason the phone shows REMOVE MEMORY CARD AND PRESS OK message? Sometimes removing it and plugging back helps, sometimes I have to plug different memory card for a moment, otherwise the phone won't see the one I'm normally using.
Any advices what to do? It's pretty annoying.
Do you regularly swap cards? perhaps it is a problem with repeated usage and the card interface has become a little loose? Does the message pop up when you shake the phone at all? perhaps when you tilt it a certain way?
if it is a software problem, are there any steps you take which reproduce the problem?
The first step in fixing the problem is to find out what the problem actually is!
No, I use only one card, 2GB Sandisk on which I have everything I need.
I've tried formatting the card on the phone - no difference.
And it's not hardware related, because as I said - sometimes I can try my 2GB card many times and it won't be recognized, but as soon as I use another card everything is fine.
The card is also fine, it's Sandisk, so reputable company, i used it in many other devices without any problems.
ok.
Well if we're confident it's software at the moment, have you noticed any particular programs that are running when this happens? Perhaps your phone has been on for an especially long time? Do you listen to a lot of music of your phone's memcard? If you can find a way to replicate the problem, it is much easier to solve.
What programs do you normally have running, especially those that would access the card?
