hi
i am new to this thread.
i want to clarify few doubts which i came across while going through the forums..

1. I am user of N73 normal edition, is it possible for me upgrade to music edition and if yes how can i do it ?

2. I was previously using 3230, i know its one damn phone but still i was able to use file explorer to hide my photos in gallery but i am not able to install this in n73. my main motto is to hide my girl friends photos from my parents but i am not able to find any software that can do this , even if they can they hide only one or two photos. please can somebody help me out with this..!!

any kind of suggestion or views are most welcome
thanks in advance

1. Yes. Search this forum for details of how to upgrade to ME. There is a ton of info here about it, and how to do it.

2. No, as far as I know, you cannot hide photo's in the gallery. I use Y-Browser and even when I mark file attributes as hidden, the pictures still show.

yes you can hide photo's and clip in the gallery . I use Y-Browser file attributes as hidden

thank u people...

i struggled hard and got the signed symbian certificate for installing the fexplorer beta(1.6).. the problem with it is that u cannot hide all the photos at a time by marking them all and setting the attribute hidden on, the same holds good with unhidding it too...

can u tell me where can i find this y-browser??
thank you

Just installed TomTom 6.2 on a N73 & N73ME, opened the gallery & the pics for the speed cams show up, very annoying. Opened up Y-Browser ( now version 0.82 ), go to 'E', ( this is the memory card ), go to the maps folder, scroll down to the safety cam entries ( you will see a gallery icon to the left ), click 'options', go to File/attributes, mark them as hidden then save, thats it. Go back to the gallery & they have gone. This should also work for your g/f pics. 😊

PS.

Also hid all my album arts pics using the same method.

hello guys
i did one thing that i used the nokia maps application
then i tried to see the folders where i had a folder called cities
in there there is a folder called diskcache inside it the folder called 0
i put my photos which i want not to appear in the gallery
to my amazement these photographs do not appear in the gallery.....
hope
people this would work for u too.........
see ya........

This trick I hear of the first time . but how do you view the pictures ? Remove them back to Images ? Actually this Folder structure is made for Nokia Maps . I made another Post , how to organize Folders in this thread : http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum//forum/thread/85664/#post427869#post427869
There is , besides Y-Browser another Filemanager you can use X-Plore : --X-Plore | Y-Browser
