Just called SE UK they told me the are now taking orders for the P800. Said they had started to recieve phones, batterys, support packs(for them I guess) said it would ship before end of January and that I could cancel my order at any time if I changed my mind.
I was going to get one from EU, but done that before with other things and always had trouble getting fix's updates etc.
Price? you ask 500 pounds said might be less but would not be more. I am due an upgrade form my provider and sure if I waited a month I could get it much cheaper but since its been a year and a half since I first heard about this device and read and seen evrything on it I cant stand to wait another day reading about people finally using them.

If I wanted to start a new contact with Orange, could I do it though them? (I doubt it, but worth a shot!)

What number did you call SE on as when I called them on Friday they were still saying first quarter. They did say they were getting some to play with at the help desk.

Gazcart - I have just phoned SE UK and spoke to Gary. He tells me that it will be released in the last week of this month, but you can't buy them direct from SE unless you work for them. So me thinks you may be telling porkies when you said that you had ordered it from SE.
Well the Sony Ericsson UK website has an eshop where you can buy their other phones, so why wont they also sell the P800? Mind you its not listed yet 😉
He was meaning phoning them and ordering it. I had forgotten about the eshop mind you. I guess you will be able to order it from their eshop when it has been officially released. But he still hasn't ordered it from SE.

i was told by a guy from phones4u that he expected it to be around 250-280 with contact when it comes out.
I know its pricey but as I said I just cant wait any more I am sick of waiting, lifes to short, I feel if there is something I want and I can aford it ( just ) then get it as long as I am not leaving my kids starving or selling drugs to get the money what the hell.
I remember driving two hours and paying cash to an importer to get my hands on the first Apple Newton the day they were released. I am surprised I haven't flown to some EU country and bought one by now.
I spoke to O2 (BT UK) and they said they were hoping to have them end Feb and estimated price to be around 350 pounds with contract and I am due an ungrade so is 150 pounds worth it when I could possible wait another month? to me yes.

Hi Gazcart. No didn't order one. I have a work fone as I am on call a lot & I am out of contract. So just need it to be under �300 with a contract and then I'll get one.
How long did they say it would take to send the phone?
