i cannot play mp4&avi files in my n80

hello everyone i am currently using a nokia n80 and my phone can't play mp4 files which my friend send me through bluetooth, i use real player version s60.30.20.01 D to open all video files. When i open the mp4 file, it says that 'media cannot be played'....so help
