Hiya all,

Could someone one there please explain why the N73 phone's are so quiet???

My N73 started as the basic version, however i have since upgraded the software to the lastest N73me version, and too be honest dispite the extra widenning and loud feature that is it!

Is there anyway to make the phone louder??
I currently use the standard music software as i like the fact that you can control it easily. Is there a specific software out there that would make it that little bit louder.

cheers

Slim

I think is like that. These days the phones have a protection for not damage the hears... so it have a limit.

I have to agree thay the phone is only just loud enough to listen to music properly .
Using the equaliser and creating a new setting with everything pushed to full helps with to some extent

i got a pop port to 3.5mm jack adapter and good set of earphones, blows my head off every time no problems.

this might be a fix

right in uk when i bought a creative mp3 player the sound was quite quiet searched a few forums and apparently eu or uk sound devices have to be limited to a certain level so installed american firmware on there as the languages were the same
hey presto instant volume gain 😊 dont know if nokia have to folow these guidelines in there eu firmwares they release if it bothers you that much might e worth trying that (I WONT BE HELD RESPONSEABLE FOR ANY ERRORS ETC ITS JUST AN IDEAR)

hi i agree personally with user above i have no troubles with the n73s sound

for a phone its pretty good and one of the best ive heard even against the walkman phones

remember these are phone speakers here not jbl loudspeakers lol how much bass and noise was you expecting from then??

remember nokia have to try and make it so you dont go back and say my speaker has blown up i need this fixed under warranty

so therfore they would have to put a much better speaker in there which would cost more

more power for the in built amp to power the speaker (meaning shorter battery life) or a bigger battery which is again more exspensive

and indeed maybe a bigger device to put all this into i mean speakers arent all tiny and need a bit of room

so nokia has to make a fine line between quality and cost if you had a better battery a better speaker and more power from some kind of inbuilt amp youd be making an exspensive product even more exspensive

as the other user said plug in some decent headphones via a 3.5 adapter and see what results you get i use my cx-300s and they rock i cant hear a thing from the outside world and the quality is very good

at the end of the day its hard for nokia to put another biger or louder speaker in there i mean they have to keep the cost and the size of the unit down

and cum on it aint that bad as a music device
