Ggggggggnnnaaaarrrhhhh!!!!! This thing is driving me nuts...!
Here's the problem. A while back I had to format the memory card in my Nokia n73.
That done, I then went into Nokia Music Manager to put my music back on the phone. Except that when I try to do that, I now get a message that says "The folder E:\Sounds\Digital\ is write protected. Select another folder."
I have tried setting a different destination folder for the music files. I have updated the firmware to the most current version. I have formatted the memory card (again). I have renamed the memory card. But still this problem remains.
There is no trouble with adding music that has never been on the memory card before. But if I try to add on anything that has ever been on it before, it will get part way through the process and then give up.
Anyone got any ideas so I can stop banging my head against this brick wall?
Thanks in advance.
Try another software to do the task. Could be a problem of DRM.
Any suggestions of decent alternative software?
It's not a DRM issue as the music I'm trying to upload doesn't have any - and also I've successfully uploaded this music onto this phone before. It's just since the first time I formatted the memory card that the problem has started.
In fact, it's now got worse. I can upload music onto the phone, but only one song at a time. If I try to do more than that, I get the same error message appear afte the first song is copied to the phone.
hi there..... this may help it works for me.... firstly do you have a card reader on your pc? if you do use this. it will come up as an extra drive on your pc, open it and put the music files into the sounds directory, refresh your music library on your handset and the files should automatically be there. 😊
try connecting your phone and choose Mass Storage Mode.. Then use the regular File Explorer...
