Using TV out with a Panasonic TH- 42PX600B

Hi

I'm trying to use the TV out on my N95 with my HD tv. Unfortunately, i haven't the foggiest where i've put the instruction manual for the TV, so I can't made head of tail of all the damn connections at the back.

There are:
2 x HDMI slots
3 x Scart slots (labelled AV1, AV2, and AV3)
and then two rows of audio / video in type plugs (labelled Components)
- The first vertical row, labelled video has three plugs, from top to bottom coloured: blue, green, red.
- The second vertical row has two plugs, labelled audio, coloured white and red.

Problem is: no combination i've tried on the tv's av channel selector and the plug connections at the back have had any luck at getting things working.
- I'm convinced it's AV4 as the scarts are AV1, AV2, and AV3

Has one any managed to figure this out?

I'd kill for some advice.

Regards
Giles

i have a 42in panasonic plasma and i just plug the phone into the socket on the front under the flap, the yellow, white and red phono plugs then just select AV4 for the input

yes thats the socket he needs, failing that u cud get 1 of them composite to scart connector, all it is, is a scart conector and the 3 plugs ( yellow, red, white) plug into the scart addaptor and then that plugs into a standard 21 pin scart socket

most VCRs have the required inputs .. perhaps thats a cheap option?

plug the n95 into VCR .. press a few input buttons and you should be there.

Good luck! 😊

what is the resolution of the tv out put?

is it as good as the dvd players via phono connections?

the output res is 640 x 480 same as the vid recording res, the connection is called composite, its the lowest quality video connection there is lol, i think all composite connections use same res, not sure tho, shame it didnt have RGB - 21 pin scart output, but composite will do, and in regards to the DVD players output theres no reason for it to be any worse in quality than a DVD player, but it does depend on what ur outputing, e.g. if u have a 3 mb 3gp clip it will look poor on a tv, but if u have say a 200 mb short clip in mp4 with good res then the video will be truly superb

Okay, so this is embarrassing !

I didn't even know i had a front panel on my tv. I only use the back set of connections

Cheers - mate - found a whole new bit to the tv.

Oh - and the phone connects up straight away- quality not as good as i thought it would be.
