Im sure this was mentioned by someone a while back.. that is, dropping the level.

Hows the reception now?? I seem to remember complaints about people not being able to connect and having to move closer to the router/unobstructed views of the router...

all i did was drop it to 10 last night nothing else (settings wise) restarted fone connected to wifi as norm and trphone connected seamlesly as it shud when in range of my wifi checked the net worked fine (i was away about 25metres at the time from router - i have gone say about 35-45 metres away and still connected - sme as before), as i had one bar of batt at the time i put a vid on did some games ran the batt flat

charged it up over night

right i ave made enough calls today so have my mates as per usual on celluar and truphone as well as sending about 20 txts and played sonic lol , its connected to router and truphone and has been since i turned it on at 20 to 10 this morning it is now 10 to 10 at night so over 12hrs and not one bar down

in a normal day i would kill the battery in the same amount of time

so in short no i think theres has been no change in my wifi just my batt life!!

well that all souds fricking magic dont it! HAHAHHA I'll have a go and see what I get back..

any use of Fring for more than half the day means empty battery :@ so I hope it works now.

dont get me wrong my batts still not great but now 24+ hours on and thats after a full days normall se yesterday begin left on all night connected to wi-fi for the same time and truphone 2day so a good 10minute call off my mate 2minutes off another 3 txts in and out and a 2 minute internet call and im on 3 bars battery :icon14:

but im sure by now i would of reached for the charger at least twice :icon13:

no, I get ya... Ive had fring on constant since my last post and the phone normally 'warms' up a bit... but its cooler...

I dont expect any better than 48 hours from this battery anyway! HAHAHA

if it lasts another 3hrs and 40mins thats 48hrs solid

made a few more calls and also just watched a south pak episode aswell still going strong

LOL - not much of a difference. I dont even use WiFi but still my batt will not last 24hrs. Im a power user by the way. Meaning i send almost 200+ msgs a day and i receive more than what i sent. lol and i use music almost 2hrs. . my max would be 18-20hrs of battery then i plug my charger again.

I can't find the options the other article is referring to "wireless lan / options / advanced settings " on my N80i.. is there secret?

My battery life is appalling .. as I don't talk or message very much, and the battery will only last 16hours.
I do keep the WiFi search off, but I keep the bluetooth (as it does not make a difference to the life)

I gotta say, having had my N80 over a year now... the battery life is finally lasting... dont get me wrong... its no 5 days or owt, but I can get about 3 days without turning off with average use...

It seems the big drainer is wifi.
