Hi, just a couple of questions, maybe someone can help!
Using a notebook+n95 for dial up networking over bluetooth: wouldn't bluetooth bandwidth (2.1 Mbits/s) act as a bottleneck in comparison with hsdpa (3.6 Mbit/s)?
In this case, wouldn't it be possible to use wi-fi to connect the notebook to the n95 and "share" the connection over the wireless lan? I mean, something like windows internet connection sharing...
Thanks! 😊
There is no suitable router/routing software for the phone that'd allow a PC to use Wi-Fi and go through the phone to the cellular network.
Using the USB cable connection is faster than Bluetooth.
Thanks.
I didn't know usb connection could be used for dial up networking...
Antone care to point be to a place explaining how to use usb conection to connect phone as modem to lap top.
Thanks

Assuming you are USB cabled up you should have a nice speedy connection.😊
Open PC suite and use connect to the internet to configure your setup automatically! You have to pick your service carrier but the software will then connect via N95 usb modem! If you have had other modems installed your dialing number may be incorrect but deal with that if it happens.
