Fring (Skype) is out on N95!

I have tried Fring a number of times on two different N95's. And both suffered a bug that caused me to un install it. From a fresh reboot of the phone it would work fine. But on the second attempt to use it, it would crash both the application and the screen, forcing a fresh reboot every other time i tried to use the application. I have re installed every new version as they have come out. But i still get the same problem. Am i the only one with this issue? I did report it to Fring but still no joy.

I had exactly the same issue every time I tried to use it.

Abandonded it for Slick which is far more stable and generally seems to be far better but with a downside that it drains the battery very quickly.

Of course I never had Fring working for long enough to know if it's battery drain was better or worse.

I have the skype beta on N95 in uk though not fully tested it yet, but whenyou go to sign in it asks permission to use the network you agree then it scans and I'm able to choose to scan for wireless networks so why wouldn't it let you use them if it sees and connects?

Will report back when I've tested it fully.

tested it now...it will connect properly using a wifi connection and works perfectly with the text chat feature. To make a call to another skype user is dials a local number first though through your mobile phone network. This is a geographical code of the city your in not 0845 one. When logged in on phone you cannot receive incoming calls from another skype user it just says busy and disconnects.

Which carrier are you using? Thanks.

I tested on virgin and o2, but as far as I know it should work properly on 3 as they have agreements with skype to use their internet 3G for calls also,
