Went to cancel my O2 phone today and retentions told me that they had a team meeting today and they are getting new data tarrifs in around 1 month, and there will be an a similar offering to Web N Walk.
As I already have a N95 with O2 I'm very happy with this announcement and thought I would let you all know.
Mabsey
did they promise to let you cancel if they DONT bring out new data plans in a month
or to refund you the money you will be lossing in the difference in data charges you are encurring between now and these tarrifs
smells of sales bull to me - though i would be amazed if o2 dont being out a flat data tarriff - or they may as well give up the xda range
Is there any price details available yet?
I can confirm these plans, retentions are already offering a 75mb data bundle for 10 known normally as Blackberry unlimited to customers leaving for Tmob's WnW packages. I'm not exactly sure whether the new offering will be a rebranded version of this or it will compete with the WebnWalk 1gb fairusage. These web offers will coincide with the new q2 pay monthly priceplans that o2 will launch on 01/05. Unfortunately whilst the new data plans are a welcome change for o2, anyone swictching to one of these new voice price plans in may will no longer have access to 0844 0845 and 0870 numbers within their inclusive minutes which is a shame as I use them regularly :frown:
When I rang them, just prior to leaving in favour of t-mob and the n95 they said the only way they could match the wnw package was with a blackberry package and that was blackberry only (no other handsets). Still, that made it nice and easy to leave!
