Symbian software on UIQ phones

Does standard Symbian software run on UIQ phones?

The UIQ OS is a front-end for Symbian most prominantly found on the Sony Ericsson P900 series of phones.

Applications using purely generic Symbian APIs would work. However, such apps are not that useful or plentiful, because you need UIQ or S60 for making applications with a user interface and many other things.

So, for UIQ phones, you generally need UIQ apps.
