N73 - Firmware Upgrade Problem.

6 replies · 2,285 views · Started 22 April 2007

I've just got an N73 which has firmware:

v 2.0628.0.0.1
10-07-2006
RM-133
Nokia N73 (58.10)

So I've decided to update it.

I've downloaded Nokia Software Updater, but all I ever get is

"Network connection lost. Check you network connection or whether a firewall is preventing the application from working properly."

I've disabled my firewall and web browsing etc is working fine... Do I need to open any ports on my router ?

Any other advice ??

Thanks

Sorted, looks like it was a Nokia Site issue !

Strange thing is since upgrading the branding has gone :con? but the phone does seem faster !!:icon14:

Version details have changed:

v 3.0704.1.0.1
19-01-2007
RM-133
(c) Nokia N73 (01)

Can someone explain the above. ??

Why has it changed to N73 (01) ??
Is this the latest firmware ??

Thanks

A lot of network providers have started to remove obvious branding, so it could just be that.

Music Edition gives you a better Music Player with album art, EQ and other sound enhancements, a different theme or two and other minor changes.
