I want to know if the GPS works without simm card inserted. If not then it's not free it would be too costly then.
I read many forums about the n95, most people had negative comments to this phone but I think the problem lies on the person who use it not the phone. I really don't know if it is worth of buying. I have 4 GSM in mind that I want to buy; can you help me please for an advice and which one?
1st. Nokia N95
2nd. HTC P3300
3rd. Nokia N77
Or
4th. Nokia 8800
Your help would be a gratefully appreciated Thank!
If the phone works without SIM, and the software do not need GPRS, yes.
But as far as I remember, f. i. Route 66, depands a connection point. Also I never try without SIM:con?
Yes it does. Though you need a data connection to download and plot routes.
The HTC would be a far far better option if you plan a lot of GPS usage. There is lots of fantastically good GPS apps out there for WM devices, hardly any for Symbian (Nokia etc) based phones.
