Extending the time for phone to divert to answerphone (O2)

4 replies · 2,806 views · Started 23 April 2007

I am having a bit of bother figuring out how to increase the time my phone rings for before it reverts to answerphone. I have figured out how to turn answerphone off completely but would like to keep it. I believe that there are certain numbers you can type in to change it, but haven't a clue what they are, or indeed what my voice mail number is. Any help much appreciated!

Was really annoying me-got it now:

**61*+yourvoicemailnumber**numberofseconds#

Example to let it ring for 15 seconds before redirecting to voice mail:
**61*+4412345678**15#

I think the max time is 30 secunds

Note to get your voice mail number (if you dont know it already):

dial +44 7802 090100 and make a note of the number

Hope this helps someone!

You could, of course, have gone to...

Tools -> Settings -> Phone -> Call divert -> Voice calls -> if not answered

...and set it up through there. Additionally, your voice mailbox will have been automatically added rather than needing you to find it out and type that lengthy command line in.

Does anyone know if this also works on Orange phones (**61)?

Thanks

Should work on all networks as long as you substitute the correct mailbox number.

But why not do

Tools -> Settings -> Phone -> Call divert -> Voice calls -> if not answered

Surely much easier?
