andrew,

mines the same... after 15 seconds the screen kicks to the time, then 1 seconds later to a blank dim lit backlight... another 15 seconds it goes to black and turns off with just the blue light flashing.

Sometimes also, when I start using the phone, the screen has a 2 seconds delay before the lights power up properly and the blue light continues to flash! GRRR!😡

I also lost the wifi on the front screen... had to install the wifi manager from download!

well i help ya here lol i lost my wifimanger, i just re-installed the firmware :P lol am taking it to as nsc at the weekend to get the lught thingy fixed ! whats happening is when the screen dims after 5seconds and the the screen moves onto thebit where the time is displayed the backlight is on ! and the keypad is lit then when the screen display is suppose to be off the back light stays on soo it looks like a btight grey screen ! with the keypad still lit :@ its sooo anoying i know its not a majour fault lol but i want it fixed !!! its anoys the hell out of me :P

hahah you might be surprised then, how much battery the backlight uses... try turning it up to full one day and see how long it lasts in comparsion to turning it down to low! LOL
