When playing video recorded from camera, I keep getting the following error message:
General: Memory Full. Close some applications and try again.
I do not have any other applications running.
Anyone have this problem or konw what I can do about it short of bringing it back?
Press and hold in your menu key, and see what else is running in the back ground. To end them press the C (Cancel key) 😊

GPS does not work, and now cannot play video's. I am less than impressed with this phone!
It has a serious memory leak issue, i am also getting this a lot now. Hopefully a firmware update will sort it.
This may sound silly but... are Firmware Updates only available by going into the shop i.e Carphone warehouse? Thanks.
Any Nokia Service Center can do it (check the website for your nearest) and there is also the Nokia Software Updater which you can download and use to flash your phone yourself. I prefer this as its more convenient but carries more risk as you could kill your phone if your PC dies during the process or your phone battery dies etc.

I re-call reading somewhere about a hard re-set. Would this help, and if so how is it done?

The memory handling on N95 is awful, but this is the sort of thing Nokia - based on experience - problably is the fastest in fixing in updates. We have to support this for a while. The hardware issues, they will never fix, which is more serious.
I bought n95 for its ability to do many things, "multimedia computer" etc, but it ended up doing only one thing at a time, why? Due to memory problem... and even doing one thing, like viewing video, it might stop half way... sigh... anyone know of some ram management program?:con?
