So, I've got a N95 and am absolutely in love with it. Waiting for my CPWH GPS voucher to come through the post however.....I have one question about applications. Is there a Symbian equivalent to ALT TAB switching between apps? I'll explain, having not quite got used to the short cut keys, sometimes while in an app I'll end up on a menu screen. I'll then have to browse back to the application to close it so I'm looking for an easy shortcut to flip between apps to close and open etc...
Cheers in advance!
I think what you might want to do is to hold down the menu key and a mini menu appears with running applications in it.
Pressing the C key closes an app if you are running out of memory too.
Thanks Banzi, that was exactly what I was looking for. Top draw!
I only found this out today too!
This has been driving me mad trying to find out how to switch apps. thank you BanziBarn
I did notice that when in the menu if an application is running a little circle type graphic is shown by the icon.
Sometimes it helps to actually read the User Guide, where this "press and hold" action is described a few times (for the menu key, and other keys where it provides some function). Maybe if you'll read the manual, you'll learn about those, too. 😉
Ah but then if everyone did that, you'd be left with no-one to lord over with your superiority! 🙄
