Slow speed with Nokia Map Loader

I've just connected my N95 to my PC using the USB cable. I thought I might make a start downloading some of the maps to the memory card. Now I started to download the Scotland map which comes in at 18.4MB and it took nearly 50 mins to get that. Why is so slow, has anyone else experienced similar slow speeds?

I'm just wondering if i go out and buy a SD card reader will this speed things up any. The time it took to get 18MB has really put me off trying to get the england map which is 90MB in size.

Any suggestions on how to speed things up?

I Noticed that it's somewhat faster to download the maps by using external card reader (or then I just happened to hit the server in good time 😊 ). Other benefit in card reader is that you don't have to keep your phone attached to PC.
