I recently updated the firmware on my N80 to N80ie. Now V4.0707.0.7 28-03-2007 RM-92 Nokia N80 (01).
After a period of inactivity the sreen goes blank. It used to come up with date/time and I think lock/new message icon would show too. It now shows this for a split second, then remains a blank screen.
Have made sure tools/themes/nokia/edit/powersaver/date and time is selected but nothing happening.
How can I get this back?
Also, how does one determine how much time should elapse before screensaver comes on?
it sounds like a bug. You might need to 'reflash'?
I have a problem with the 'powersave' too in that once it goes into power save (and that nice blue light starts to flash) it just flashes for the rest of the day.... and night reguardless of whether its in standby or im in a call! 😡

It seems that it is a feature of the new software! My phone is behaving like this after upgrading to the 4.0707.0.7. There are some new features, also. Like, multimedia key doesn't work at all after snoozing the alarm and if U are listening the radio after the alarm there are no (more) automatic return to the radio.
Nokia support says that it is normal behaveour!
Unfortunately, U cant go back.
But with the new SW EAP is working and standby time is improved.

This is normal. It can make battery lasts longer.
I also have had problems with the WLAN.
At home the WLAN wizard found my network, but then wouldn't connect or even prompt me for the WEP code.
Went to a friend's home and disabled security on their wireless network. The wizard detected the network, but then when trying to browse it wouldn't connect- kept coming back with WLAN not found (even though it had found it earlier!).
Anyhow back home it now seems to work- it prompted me for the WEP and access point is defined.
Strange erratic behaviour - any thoughts?

lol mine does the same but apart from that everything else is sweet and a few days on now my Wlan power has been dropped it has got great batt life icon14:
