A week into ownership and I absolutely dig my N95, as I am sure that you all do too and to supplement that Nokia goodness I am always on the lookout for some class third party apps at zero cost. After all, I spent so much on the handset and tariff, I need to try and save a few pennies.
Here is your opportunity to pimp those applications that you have found for free, installed and loved so that others may benefit from your discovery.
I’ll go first, here’s what my N95 is carrying at the moment…
- Y-browser. One of the better file manager replacements, providing added functionality over the OEM version. http://pushl.com/y_browser/
- Google Mail. Dedicated Gmail client. Compulsory if you have a Google mail account and want to use it on the hoof. Get it by visiting gmail.com/app on your phone.
- Mobipocket Reader. In my opinion, the best eBook reader. Used it on PPC and it rocks on S60! http://www.mobipocket.com/
- mIRGGI. IRC client for S60 3rd edition. Still new, but works great. http://mirggi.net/
- Fring. Voip using Skype, Google talk, MSN and SIP. http://www.fring.com/
- Sports Tracker. Sweet app for tracking running, cycling etc using GPS. http://research.nokia.com/research/projects/SportsTracker/
- Mobile GMaps. Displays satellite imagery from Google Maps, Yahoo and Windows Live! With GPS support. http://www.mgmaps.com/
- S-Tris 2. Tetris, free, nuff said. http://www.elementsgames.com/stris2/downloads.php/
Now show me yours (and link us up where possible)…
