P990i SPEAKERPHONE: Am I missing something here?

3 replies · 4,124 views · Started 26 April 2007

I have moved from a P900 to a P990i. On the old phone, to activate speakerphone all you had to do was open the flip.
Now with the P990i you have to jump through hoops! I read somewhere that you can activate the speakerphone really easily with one button.
Please... anyone know how to do this? Phone purchased end April 07.

you need to update the software through sonyericcsons website update service. then you will only need to press one button to get speaker on

thanks

Thanks for your response. I have heard this, but SE have told me that it won't make any difference.
What button would you press once updated? Also updating firmware depends on who your provider is. You can't always update to the latest firmware.

What's the magic button?

Thanks.

I did the firmware update and it's like a new phone. Do it today. (Back up everything first). Speakerphone one touch works too! (Left soft key).
