Hello All,
I seem to have an issue when connecting to GPRS. whenever i try connecting, i get the following error:

Packet data : Packet data not available. Check network services.

Here are the things that i did in a hope to resolve this issue, but, i still have the same issue :frown:.

1) I restored the default settings.
2) I have formatted and reinstalled the device atleast 3 times. I have updated the firmware 2 times.
3) I have checked the network settings atleast 100 times. I have only the packet data option
4) I have removed all Access Points and re-added them back.
5) I have checked with my carrier and also at the repair point about this issue and even they are not able to figure it out...

Would any one of you have any ideas as to what to do to get rid of this message and connect to the GPRS?

Please help me!!!

Thank you,
Harish

Are you sure that the service is activated or available on your region? Try with your SIM card inserted in another phone.

is it ur wap browser or opera .. which one doesnt get it ? or u cant get the connection from you pc ?

one thing used to happen to me a lot was i didnt make the accesspoint in both the places . .

dont be confused ... go to settings>connection . . ..

in connection u will see 3 options -

1. access point
2.packet data
3.configaration

u have to create access point in both 1 and 2 . it might give you trouble if you only create accesspoint in option 1 . specially when u connect to internet with pc , the 2nd accesspoint is a must .

solution 2 - try removing your memory card and try to connect . sometimes stuff in the mmc cause the trouble which happend to me also .\

last and the the surest way to solve it to hard reset ur phone. it will format your phone memory and make it fresh just like the time u bought ur mobile . to hard reset close ur phone press three button simonteniously ( *green* button , "*" button and "3" button ) and press power button to turn on ur phone . keep pressing that 3 button until ur phone opens which will take a minuite or so . it will surely solv it ..

If you're using Pay As You Go - make sure you get the 'name' correct - it's not 'internet' (for contract) but 'pp.vodafone.co.uk'

I had the same problem until I changed the name of the access point
