Mass Storage Problem

Hi all,

Not sure if this has been covered. Done a search but couldn't find anything.

On my N95 I use the memory card for storing my text messages, however when I connect the USB lead and select Mass storage I get the following error message

"USB Error:

Unable to activate mass storage mode. Memory card is in use by Messaging application. Change the selected memory in Messaging settings first."

Has anyone else has this? I never used to get this on my N80. Tried putting the phone in offline mode but still the same. :con?

Yeah i got this, you seem to have to select the phone memory as mail / text and not use the mem card - annoying but there is 150 meg to fill on the phone!

What else have you installed on your card? I had Shozu on my card and that stuffed up my mass storage mode, as it needed access to system stuff. Taking it off and reinstalling in phone memory freed up the card for mass storage mode.

Nothing, its a new card. I changed the text message setting to use the memory card and then tried to install TomTom using the mass storage mode!

Thats when I got the error message!

for one its faster .. and you ought to be able to click on "Install" .. in the PC Suite.

Good Luck!😊
