will i be charged extra if i use my phone as a modem for my laptop? i currently have cingulars medianet data plan which includedes unlimited internet. i just wanna make sure i dont get charged extra if i use my phone as a modem to connect my laptop to the internet. anyone?

There is no extra charge from Cingular if you're using the Unlimited plan.
Also, I wouldn't call them because you'd be essentially telling them that you're using a device that they would normally charge PDAConnect fees (like the E62 or the Blackberry) which begin at $49/month if you purchase the device through Cingular.
