n73 too loud

And your complaining why????

I have the " normal " new firmware on my phone , and that as well is very loud..
So all the ringtones etc are now on 5% sound volume....

Mind you have a funny MP3 ringtone screaming out in work is rather amusing !!!

i am complaining because i dont like my music loud maybe? and having a funny ringtone is kinda high school and gets old after the first few times.

so turn it down !!....

I am running V3.0705.1.0.31 (ME) and well it is just not loud enough for me, well i will add after listening to loud music for most of my life, my hearing might not be as good as it was, but hey.

I WANT A LOUD PHONE!!!!

If it is a pre-installed ringtone, then firmware is screwed up. Or, because upgrading puts settings to default.
If it is an audio file You have transfered to your phone, then it may be due to gain level of that audio file.

There is a tool called MP3Gain, which happens to be very handy. Not only it is able to change gain level of .mp3 files but also .aac files!

I´ve used this tool for years to change dB of my audio files to same level.

please... if only you have read my initial question carefully, i said im at 10% volume which is the lowest already and it is still too loud for me

thanks vinterkrig, i think it is my mp3 file since the nokia ringtone is much softer when comparing them with headphones. i'll try that program, however, is there another music app for the n73 that can fine tune the volume control even more like 1-100 at 1 intervals?

edit: well i just tried the program and sure enough it was my mp3s... they were at 99 db... they are now all at 89 db which is about half as loud. excellent program, very easy to use. thanks again vinterkrig

Unfortunately, I can hear external (sounds around us... people talking etc) sounds while I listen to songs (MP3 even at 256kpbs bitrate) on my N73ME with full volume in POP mode (or whichever mode)😮

My recommendation would be to get some noise cancelling earphones. You can buy those that use clever circuitry to remove unwanted noise or you can buy the little "bud" type earphones that simply block out external sounds by fitting snuggly into the ear canal.

I use these...

Creative EP630's. Got mine brand new off eBay for about �7. My N73 now sounds as good as my iPod.

what firmware are you using? i find mine far to quiet
