Basically people are discussing how to appropriate or hack a Nokia System Tool that is clearly never going to be officially available. Wholesale discussing of techniques, and veiled hints, it just reads really badly.
If it was just me I'd have this locked and deleted after 48 hours.

But netmonitor is on everyphone anyway. I have it enabled on my 9210 so what are they up to, I seem confused. Changing it in anyway could only cause problems like buggering up the network or their phone.
I think the prob is it's only available on flashed 7650's as an additionot the Z Drive. Reading the topic thew whole discussion seemed 'wrong' for All ABout Symbian to be hosting.
Hmm not sure. Opinions? Can I leave for one of the 7650 people to deal with this. I haven't got time and don't know enough to read through the thread fully.

Well technically it shouldn't be enabled on any phones so anyone with it enabled is breaking the law. As for not letting them have it? Surely the first idea would be to contact Nokia to find out why the release devices lack Netmonitor and then see what they say about it.
7650 and 3650 commercial phones do not have netmonitor anywhere on the phone, it is an application that NSC's add to the phone and remove after the service.
So it cannot be enabled like on previous Nokia's.
The applications apparantly costs 0000's to buy, so should I suppose be classed as warez, I have left a note halfway though the post mentioning no uploads of the application.
I think 'how-to's' should also be stopped.
The problem is it's harder to justify, as on many Nokia phones it can just be enabled, so it's like just making use of a feature that is already present.
I will try to follow as much as my time allows, if it gets out of hand, I will lock it.
Any comments or suggestions?
