I need help. I've just purchased the DVD Player for my Nokia 9500
Communicator and can't get it to work. Well, actually I installed it correctly
but when I try to play a movie, the screen stays dark. Now when I push "Play" I
can see the outlines of the player. If I forward the movie and push "Play" again
I'm able to see a picture but nothing is moving. Is there a driver missing or
something? Help... :con?

Thanks for your reply nj7! I believe it is in the correct format, since I used the Lathe encoder from Viking that came with the DVD player. I tried other players as well and they all seem to have a problem playing on MY ( ! ) 9500. The only player that works on my phone is the real player. I also tried to encode the clips or movies I would like to play on my phone in other formats and nothing works. It feels like somethings is missing. I have OPL runtime installed but I'm not sure if that is needed for a player to work. I also contacted the support team of the company that sells the player but even they seem to be unable to help me.
By the way, I have the same problem with certain games.
Try use the SUPER from eRightSoft, and play with real player.
This site (eRightSoft) looks a little bit strange. You find yourself in a loop and cannot reach the program to download. A little bit of survey gives clues that there are some legal questions as well. Did you try it yourself without any problem?
